BTW, two weeks ago I ordered a trailer hitch adapter for the 3-point on my tractor. Ordered it just before noon and actually had it in hand by noon the next day. Last week I ordered a 6-foot backhoe attachment with thumb from the same company. Ordered it at 4 PM on Wednesday and would have received it on Friday had the rain not been so bad, getting it today instead.
Company is outside of Memphis, I’m on the coast. They are about half the price of the big tractor places, are more eager to please the customer than the other major tractor players and dhopping/lift gate charges are included in the purchase price.
This is an American company, a lot of their farm supply stuff’s made on-site. I got more customer service on hold than most of the Big Boys give you when you’re sitting in their offices. Not that often I deal with a non-local farm supply, or even a local one that represents the Big Boys, and not come away feeling like I’ve just gone forca dip in the septic.

Disclaimer: I have nonfinancial connection to this company nor am I actively promoting their products , I’m just floored by their services. Thanks. I do not have any large companies near me. Closest is about 35 miles.

Yeah, I have mine 15 or more miles away and I don’t have a great assortment to choose from. I have to go through the usual ” it’ll work pretty well if change your task, don’t expect as much and stand like this” routine. If they have to special order it’s a couple of weeks or better.
These guys just surprised me with having what I needed, delivery and lift gate charges included in the purchase price. I have some minor digging to do and the six-foot,
especially with the thumb, at half of what local dealers were asking for one without the thumb, was a deal. There’s also that piece you have to go through where they don’t have what you want but do have a ten-footer out back they haven’t managed to sell and twist your ear telling you how this piece is really what you need, they’ll throw in free hoses yada yada yada.

When are we going to accept the fact that, to the POtuS, the deaths of innocent Americans is an acceptable action in his plan to ‘Change’ America? We’ve had his various Moslem, black and Latino kin whipped into a killing frenzy by his speeches and he ain’t done yet. Now with his and Hellary’s expanded importation of Moslem killer elite in process we should see a ramp-up of activity in the near future.
The system’s answer will be to bleach and limit the reporting and, just as they’ve done with cartel-related activities in the US. Strip the cartel/black drug gangs/Moslem descriptors off of the crime and it becomes just another plain vanilla murder lost in the background noise. An innocent victim of gun/bomb violence, not a targeted killing by a hostile group. Sorta takes the sting out of that whole killing thing.

The problem is that there is no E-Mail from anyone directing the CEO of that company to do the things he asked others guidance for.
While there may be a connection between the one request and a specific customer (Hillary), there is no way to prove he isn’t just showing his personal support for a customer that pays a lot of money on time.
Personally, I think the questions add to the already large mountain of evidence his company’s inability to provide competent technical services of any level.

Ahmad Khan Rahami, wanted for questioning in the NY and NJ bombings, has been captured in Elizabeth, NJ after a shootout. Two cops and Rahami were shot.
Seems Rahami’s family owns a fried chicken store there, though no word on if Ahmad had any part in it. Apologists quickly mentioned that Ahmad’s family was on the receiving end of religious persecution in the city, were arrested for simply recording a police interview and had to sue the city for harassing their business. No specifics but we don’t need them, we clearly see what the POtuS would see as ongoing institutional American racism.
Meanwhile, de Blasio is saying the investigation into the NY bombing ‘is definitely leaning’ in the direction of terrorism. Wobder If he’s formed any opinions about 911?

I’m thinking about starting a kickstarter project, asking for donations so that I can come up with however many millions of dollars it will take the Geniuses in I.T. to come up with a reliable predictor of how long it will take for your download to complete. In 45 minutes, my “time remaining” will say “43 minutes”. And it’s been this way since the dawn of the internet.
Why is this? You say, varying bandwidth and computing power on either side of the transaction. I say, ok, programming geniuses, learn the bandwidth on both sides, for the user, and at varying times of the day, week, or year.
Or perhaps companies who write programs which tell us how long we have to wait are all on Colored People Time, in which case I must just smile and say, oh well! at least their companies are Diverse. I mean, who cares about a product that works, right? Diversity is paramount.

CPT is real, folks.
I downloaded Fallout 4 the other day. The whole time, I was being told I had two hours or so remaining. The number kept changing over the next six hours, but not by more than a few seconds. Not until hour five or so did it start going down substantially.
CPT means multiply whatever time estimate they give you by a factor of three. At least.

Say I walk into Wal-Mart, on December 24, at 8:00 PM. The place is a hornet’s nest.
The Greeter says to me, upon entry, “Hi! The checkout lines are really fast tonight!”
I then wait 3 hours in line.
The Greeter was lying. Then she keeps coming up to me and telling me I only have 43 minutes left until I can be served.
What company would keep this employee?
That employee wrote the algorithm that tells us how much time we have remaining on a flippin’ download. They’re probably in a protected class, so i can’t complain.

Actually, diversity is only lately. It was always make a quick buck at the expense of everyone else. Most new products on the shelves for consumers to buy are older components assembled in a new case. Programming is so inefficient now that new computers spend most of their time looping through useless code before doing anything meaningful.
LikeLike
It wasn’t always this way. But it was before windows that the computer wasn’t doing other things at the same time as your download. 1MB took about 55-56 minutes via X-modem almost to the second.
As I recall the story, the whole download time remaining in MS Windows was a guess from the very beginning. There were too many things outside of the connection established speed to factor in and line noise was a big X factor. Mostly it was all the other programs running checking mouse cursor location and screen redraws. Now it’s become even more complicated as computers are faster untold numbers of programs running at the same time using recourses. To top it off, programmers are even more lazy than ever before and write horribly inefficient programs/apps.
It would add to the download time significantly for the computer to constantly read all conditions and update your download time more than it does.

I was in a waiting room today. Some ignorant rude SJW sat down across from me and started watching something on her phone without using headphones. It was very loud.
She was unresponsive to “the look.” 🤔
So I keyed up a Trump rally, turned the volume up on my phone, got up and sat down right next to her and started watching it 😜.
Heh, heh, if looks could kill I would be dead.
She told me she was listening to something. I said “Yes and you’re forcing everyone else to listen to it, that is the problem.”
She huffed, turned her phone off and got up and moved to a new chair, never made eye contact with me once.
So far a good day 😎

I learned the trick of getting up and moving next to someone when I was dating a Marine. We were at a movie theater and the couple behind us kept talking, my boyfriend asked them to stop and the chap told my boyfriend that if he didn’t like it he should change his seat. My Marine stood up on the seat of the chair stepped over it and sat down right next to the loud mouth. The chatty Cathies never said another word 😀.

You know I feel the same way. When I’m in Chicago and see BLM idiots with their pictures of the Trayvons and Michael Browns of the world I don’t say to them what I would like to say because I value my life and the lives of the people with me. That said, I have always spoken my mind but respected people in their ignorance also. Now not so much. Today ignorance is getting people killed so I say more. Most people shut up quickly.
I definitely don’t go around confronting people willy-nilly but I definitely call people out on their ignorant rude behavior because it isn’t something that is happening in a bubble.
Just last night I was at a social function and a woman said that she is a mentor for a company and her job is to coach and guide mentors below her through practices that the company frowns on in online chats with customers such as personal family talk, religion, and then as a joke she said or voting for Trump. I asked her if she can encourage them to vote for the woman who let 4 men die in Benghazi and who accepts millions of dollars from Muslim countries while simultaneously claiming to be an advocate for women. It was uncomfortable for a moment but because of the setting the subject was changed and nothing more came of it.
That is something likely I would not have done 6 months ago. Today is a new day.
I am tired of morons, not because they are morons but because they are dangerous.

Tell me about it. On days I have the one I’m pooped at the end of the day.
That old saying that God knew what he was doing when He gave you kids when you were young always pops in my head. 🙂
A new baby to sit and rock though in her ruffles will sure be fun.

Wonderful news Michelle, have fun in the ruffles department 🙂

My daughter asked me if I would have been as excited if it had been a boy. I told her of course I would have, I figured it was a boy.
All babies are precious.

Awww!!! Such sweet news, Michelle. Congratulations!!! Little boys are precious, too, but little girls are so much fun and extra-special!

I am finding it’s really hard to find little dresses. I went to four different baby/children stores in Branson and couldn’t find one dress.
I do not like to sew, so I guess I’m going to have to hire my sister to make dresses with ruffles and lace. 🙂

Internet??

I know, but I hate to buy clothes off the internet. I like to make sure they’re soft. I bought my grandson this cute little outfit when he was a baby and it was not soft at all.

Michellc, look on Amazon. I found the most adorable baby clothes there, and everything I ordered was under $7 each. Baby clothes are so expensive now. I would never pay $30 for a baby dress. But, they had just darling things.

I found her some adorable little pjs that were on sale on one little store. They have little bows on the snaps and ruffled lace on the rear end. They had them 3 for $20.
I did find her one cute little dress at a convenience/truck stop/souvenir shop we stopped at to use the bathroom on the way home.
It was more than I would usually pay but it was sooo cute, has little cowboy boots on the front and a gingham ruffle with lace skirt, little booties that look like boots to match and a matching hair bow. Hubby stroked when I handed it to him go pay for. His exact words, “$30 for a dollars worth of material.”

LOL Yes, a man’s reply.
My DIL dresses beautifully, but chooses greys and tans and usually wears fairly tailored style clothes. I figured she probably wouldn’t like pink and ruffles for the baby. Boy, was I wrong. She dresses her in the most girly, ruffly, cute clothes ever. I sew and I have patterns now and some material to make cute things. The problem is staying ahead of her growth. LOL
I sent a couple of cute booties, one looked like huggs and one was little black patent. She couldn’t wear either. They were long enough, but she has really fat little feet. {snort} I actually was glad to hear that. That means she didn’t get her granma’s feet which have caused me trouble my whole life. They are flat and too flexible.

My daughter isn’t liking the pink and ruffles. lol
She tells me I can try but won’t succeed in turning her into a girlie girl.

Really? That’s strange. I don’t know if y’all have one, but Cracker Barrel restaurant/shop have some adorable baby things. Unique items that nobody else has. I do well at JCPenney and Dillard’s, too. Babies R Us has also been good for us.

Yep, I’ll have to make a trip to Babies R Us, but that means going to Tulsa. They’re pretty expensive though.
We went to Oshkosh, Carters, Childrens Place and another little baby store in Branson.
We have a little resale shop in town that I need to go to and see what they have. Most of my grandson’s clothes have always came from garage sales and resale shops.

Especially as how they wear something once or twice and outgrow it.
A friend of my daughter’s told her to go to The Best Dressed Children that they had adorable dresses. I looked and about stroked out and decided I wasn’t stupid enough to buy from there. lol

If y’all have a Burlington Coat Factory, they have great dresses. You could also check the website Etsy. They have lots of crafty shops and I bet you could get custom made dresses.

Tulsa has the Baby Depot in with Burlington Coat factory, I’ve bought my grandson a lot from there. It’s usually new stuff at used prices. I just hate going to Tulsa.

Gotcha. I don’t like to drive to Dallas. Too crazy. Fortunately my town has places to shop, otherwise I’d order everything online.

Where it’s located not that long ago was a very safe part of Tulsa, I’m not sure there is a safe part these days.

So many big cities are that way now. I rarely drive after dark anymore. It’s not worth the risk. I do feel safe when I’m out with the hubby at night, he’s always “prepared” if you know what I mean.

We never go to Tulsa without being prepared, but they have lots of drive-bys all over.
I remember when it was only North Tulsa(black part of town) you had to worry about, then the illegals took over East Tulsa, then it moved to mid-town and west side, south side was the last decent area, now it’s moving there.
9 times out of 10 when you hear of a robbery, shooting or rape it’s either a black person or Hispanic, of course they never tell you their legal status. Although, they don’t tell you the race either, you only know by the picture or name. lol

That’s really sad to hear.
I’ve seen that in our local news as well, the not saying the race. Can’t be profiling ya know… das raciss.🙄

How things go around here: took the ATV down to check the mailbox and, half way down the driveway, is a skinny male basset hound, collr but no tag. Appears that soneone else without the guts to take their dog to the pound has dumped it here.

Skinny and definately looking for its people. I put out food and water, if I can’t find a ‘lost’ notice it’s off to the humane society, we’re totally dogged out here.

At least you have somewhere to take them, we’re always stuck with doing something. Some we can save and find homes, others we can’t.
I sure wish folks would learn just because you dump them off in the country doesn’t mean they will find a home.
We saw a mixed breed black dog that was skin and bones and looked to have mange when we were coming home today. It was running down the dirt road. Not very charitable of me I know, but I sure hope he finds someone else. It would be kinder to the dog if they would just put them down rather than dump them off.

Our little shelter has a deal with out-of-state agencies and sends just about all of the dogs/cats it can’t adopt out to them. I’m just tired of being a dumping ground.

We only have three shelters in the county and all three are ran by cities who only allow dogs found in the city. If you don’t have a city address they won’t take them.
There is one rescue group but they will only take small dogs and puppies. Small dogs and puppies are easy to find homes for, big dogs not so much.
I try when I can, but diseased looking dogs I won’t risk making my animals sick and dogs who snarl and growl I won’t risk getting bit. Then of course starving dogs and dumped dogs often form a pack and then your livestock is at risk. That is what these people who dump dogs in the country don’t understand, very few find a home, most get ran over, starve to death or shot.
I get tired of being a dumping ground as well.

Should be charged with having crappy fashion sense for a jihadi…looks like his chemise came tight off of his granny’s couch.
What ever happened to those days when Utah terrorists were the ones standing in Temple Square drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes?

Czarina driving home tonite ran into a sounder of pigs smack in the road, she estimates twenty to thirty, mostly piglets with a few sows. They just stood there as she drove through them. In the meantime I have two more youngster, cochon de lait size, pigs in the trap. That’s 22 we’ve turned intonfreezer fodder and they’re still thicker than fleas on a hound. Not exactly one of those problems one has in the urban environment.

Well it’s a small Ford and they get badly damaged running head-on into a strong wind. We have some rather large live-traps set up on 80 acres the road borders on the north. We’ve taken 22 of their kin over the last two months, lotta people have fill freezers, and sooner or later these dudes and dudettes will fall sway to the lure of corn, donuts and strawberry Kool-Aid.
We two full freezers ourselves and deer season isn’t here yet.
