When I was in Carlisle, PA ’02 while sitting outside enjoying adult refreshments, looking north thru the light pollution the Aurora was visible. The show lasted for an hour…..
As for star gazing, always had a saddle blanket in the truck…..

Goid call, in December of 2001 when I broached the issue of looking for Moslem terrorist bootcamps in rural US areas I was told that was none of our concern and that the FBI had that issue fully in their domain and under control. Would they lie to us?

Problem is the guys in the suits run the show, no one in the government can do anything independently without FBI oversight. If DHS, DEA or anyone else developed a training camp,in the US you can bet it would be turned over to the FBI where the data would be weighed on a scale with ‘political weight’ being in the opposite pan.

Colonel, y’all come on up, we gots lotsa Northern Lights! Usually starting in late October. Ours don’t look like Stella’s picture, though. More like sheets, or curtains, that cover huge portions (or almost all) of the sky. It is magical to watch them ripple and wave. Ours are mostly blue-green to pink, and occasionally purple to red. I love to lay in a chaise lounge on the deck and stare up at them, but more than 5 minutes requires some serious suiting up first. The best lights happen well below zero. The road trip will take ya two weeks or so, but is a beautiful drive.

Ours are usually sheets or curtains. This is apparently called a proton arc, and is more rare.

I just about spit water all over. Too true, too true.
My wife is a second year teacher, working for a school district that hasn’t had a curriculum for either year, basically writing one as she goes along. She’s averaging over 100 hours per week right now, barely sleeping.

Yes, had a British Nana who only used loose tea and a kettle, she never could accept someone putting tea into those nasty little bags for her. Talk about coffee you can stand a spoon in, she’d make tea you could seal PVC with.

I was in London on vacation when I was in my early 20’s. Growing up I always drank tea instead of coffee. I ordered tea at breakfast and the waitress asked if I wanted cream and sugar. I said no I drink it black. She gave me a funny look and brought my order. One sip and my eyeballs flew out of my head!!! “Oh miss, could I have some cream PLEASE!” She laughed out loud and brought the cream. Man, that stuff was stout!

When I was in Russia tea was served with every meal. In the middle of what passes for early Spring in Russia anything above 32-degrees is welcome but it had all of the taste qualities of weak yellow water.

Morning Nye!!!! Everyone!!!!!! Simplistic breakfast, that’s great! “Eat and Get the Hell Out”- restaurant, Kitty Hawk NC. Brought the T shirt, ate the food, smiled at the girls, and ran the length of “The Flight”. Drank the adult refreshments and slept on my Saddle Blanket until the waves from Ocean woke me up……

I don’t think Soros would cut the strings as she’s the culmination of years of machinations. The puppeteers almost had us in 2000 until hanging chads and a more conservative SCOTUS saved us, and 911 helped save us in 2004. We got schnitzeled in 2008 and 2012 as the POtuS had fallow ground to replant and they need Hellary to cement the coup. As long as she can make it thru the swearing in, slive and sentient, they can always roll out that Sams Club-sized drum of KY and puppetize Kaine using Manchurian Candidate theme.
Her unstable stance may be due to one’s ability to stack BS only do high before it starts to topple.

Speaking of which, the Religion of Peace is about ready to start celebrating Eid-al-Adha. This celebration, as with others in the religion not connected to the moon goddess, has its date is fixed by the lunar calendar.
At the end of the celebration Moslems who can afford it are expected to sacrifice a piece of livestock. Can’t wait tonsee how Wally World will respond when the Moslem community starts demanding their stores carry a suitable variety of livestock for their sacrificial needs. I presume that for vegan practitioners an alternative selection of .suitable Christians and Jews will be provided.

Nah. They probably think I’m an insider since I was defending Sundance’s position though admittedly with less emotion and handwringing than his initial post.
The herd mentality was that Sundance was risking losing half of Trump’s base if Sundance continued to criticize Trump’s choice of Kellyanne as his new campaign manager 🙄.
I told them that Sundance did not have that kind of power so they are probably utterly confused as to whether I am friend or foe 😎.

There was a fire at the mosque the Orlando nightclub shooter used to attend. Police say it was intentionally torched and have somewhat grainy surveillance video showing what they’ve concluded is a White or Hispanic (if I have to capitalize one I’m gonna capitalize the other) male who is the prime suspect.
The fire caused ‘considerable’ damage but doesn’tbseem to have reached the ammunition/explosives storage areas.

The sneak peek of the unfinished Gosnell movie on Thursday night at the Value Voters Summit in DC was phenomenal. Marjorie Dannenfelser, the President of Susan B Anthony List introduced the film.
We had almost 200 attendees. When the movie ended they gave a standing ovation. It was not their last. The first comment was “You’ve knocked it out of the park”, the second “This is a game changer”, many of those who spoke at the microphone were crying. A teenage girl who had come with her mother said she was so grateful she had seen the movie and that everyone needed to see it.
