A note for anyone considering MREs: they don’t have the longterm storage capabilities of foods like the nitrogen packed, freeze dried ones and MREs are designed for 19-year olds in a heavy combat environment. They are calorie and carb heavy, for example the new varbeque pulled beef meal has 1300 calories and 188 grams of carbs…one meal.
I prefer to shop sites like Nitro-Pak (disclaimer – I have no financial interests there) as I prefer storage foods from the LDS heartland for obvious reasons.
Shopping sites that have individual items versus prepackaged meals allow me to tailor my meals to caloric and nutritional needs and what I prefer to eat. Better than 20 year storage life helps too.

I also use Augason Farms, and My Patriot supply. Both are out of Utah. LDS members also. Walmart.com sells the Augason Farms for a little less than direct and I can get free shipping. I agree on the MRE’s. I have a few for a quick emergency meal. When the SHTF, the first few hours and days will be hectic, so I think MRE’s would have a short term place while I am taking care of more important matters.

Not only are MREs designed to be calorie/carb heavy but they are also…how can we say this delicately… ‘Excessive poop preventative’. Object Is to keep your potty time limited so the mission isn’t…impacted (wanted to use that one again ever since I retired). Just thought I’d pass that on (ditto).

Not quite as binding as the old LRRPs or hard cheese and potato chips but they do tend to ‘bulk you up’. Not a much fibre as one would think but they have to have max usable nutrition without slowing downthat mission too much.
I used to keep Ex Lax pills just in case things got too delayed, or I’d eat from a street stand.

BTW, low fibre foods in a survival situation may have their problems multipled by increased sweating and decreased water intake as well as the rations, who’ve had water removed for weight/processing removed, absorbing water from your body as they transit.
You’ll want to adjust your water needs upward, better too have too much vice too little. Also a gentle, powerful and acceptable stool softener is sugar free candy made with mannitol sugar. It tastes ‘good’ and the mannitol, being an alcohol sugar, moves things thru at a fairly good clip.

I have also stocked a fairly large supply of both laxatives and anti diarrheals. Not that you want to depend or abuse either, I figure the change in diet in an emergency situation will throw our systems out of balance for a while. More water in a stressful situation is always a good way to go. I have also stocked several water filters and purification tablets. Better safe than sorry. Suspect water will probably kill more people than we realize.

Drudge is leading with a Hilary earpiece headline from InfoWars.

WAS HILLARY WEARING AN EARPIECE DURING LAST NIGHT’S PRESIDENTIAL FORUM?

    http://www.infowars.com/was-hillary-wearing-an-earpiece-during-last-nights-presidential-forum/

After seeing the speculation about TheBeast wearing an inductive earpiece I thought about that new greasy flat hair look she has been sporting on occasion would more inconspicuously hide an earpiece.

    https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CrPJ2DlUMAA-CU3.jpg:large

    Just a hmmm….

On a side note after the internet went crosseyed about Hillary’s need of support or a stool I found it particularly funny that she was sure to stand up often during the half hour forum. Sometimes 2 minutes at time!

For all the power Hillary has I believe she is, every waking moment of her life terrified of being found out to be exactly who she by someone with the power to do something about it.

No, Classified Information Does Not Always Come with a “Header” – and Hillary Knows It
    By Andrew C. McCarthy

    https://pjmedia.com/andrewmccarthy/2016/09/08/no-classified-information-does-not-always-come-with-a-header-and-hillary-knows-it/

Well, it looks like Hillary Clinton’s oft-repeated canard – “I never sent or received any e-mails marked classified” – has been so thoroughly discredited that it now poll-tests poorly. Hence, she broke out a new wineskin for the same old rotgut at last night’s candidate forum: the “header.”

The issue arose when she was bluntly questioned by a military vet who pointed out that, had he recklessly mishandled classified information the way she did, he’d have been prosecuted. She countered:

Classified material has a header that says “top secret,” “secret,” “confidential.” None of the emails sent or received by me had such a header. What we have here is the use of an unclassified system by hundreds of people in our government to send information that was not marked. There were no headers, there was no statement … “top secret,” “secret” or “confidential.”

Obviously, Mrs. Clinton is tactically morphing “marked” into “header” because some of her emails were marked classified. Were she to repeat the “nothing marked classified” lie and leave it at that, the public would be reminded not only that she is known to have lied about this (FBI director Comey acknowledged as much in his House testimony); but also that she fibbed in ludicrous fashion when called on the markings in her FBI interview – claiming to have believed the “(C)” designation had to do with putting paragraphs in alphabetical order. (Of course, it refers to classified information at the confidential level, something well known to Clinton because, among other reasons, she was for a decade a heavy-duty consumer of classified documents, in which the “(C)” designation is ubiquitous.)

Nevertheless, as I have repeatedly pointed out since the Clinton email scandal came to light in March 2015, this whole brouhaha about “marked” classified – and, in its new iteration, classification “headers” – is a red herring. A great deal of classified information is not marked at all. If an official with a security clearance sits in on a meeting or briefing at which classified information is presented orally, it would be unlawful for that official to transmit that information via a non-government, non-classified email system. The fact that such an email would obviously not be marked would make no difference – officials trained in handling classified information and given security clearances for access to it are intimately aware of the rules.

FYA: According to Bureau of Justice statistics, about 2.5 million black suspects are arrested every year. On average about 113 black suspects are killed. Divide 113 by 2.5 million and you get five one thousandths (5/1,000ths) of 1% of black arrests result in the death of the suspect. On the other hand, the FBI says 40% of cop killers are black. Heather MacDonald’s study for the Manhattan Institute shows cops are 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black man than an unarmed black man is likely to be killed by a cop.

As if the world had not already gone mad enough…… Apparently someone told Hillary that she came across as well, Hillary, last night and she is now trying to sound like some kind of “Love is all we really need” guru on Twitter.

We need a president who will do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly. __ Hillary Clinton

Who does she think people see her as Mother Teresa?

I still say she will have a nervous breakdown before the election or go on a drinking binge and escape her handlers. What a vile delusional woman.
