New Speak, should be called ‘Islamic Apologist Departments/Studies/Programs. Were these gutless academic trash alive in 1940 they’d be slobsoring ‘Holocaust Departments/Studies/Programs’. Oh wait, they are…..never mind.

‘Slobsoring’, slobs sponsoring, a rather obtuse neologism. This hit a nerve as I received yet another of those letters from an old college asking me to buy life insurance so that when I die I can leave them a lotta money. I can only imagine where that money will be used…I’d also feel a bit better about it if, during the intervening 30-plus years, they’d contacted me to see how I was other than to check on if they were in my will.

We used to watch Greta, but lost interest after her fawning and globe-trotting with Hilary Clinton a few years ago. She has been more positive about Trump in the last year than most at Fox and we have tuned in for her Trump segments. Watched “The Trump Life” last night, an hour long interview with Melania and Ivanka. But just can’t stand Brit Hume and hope he gets ZERO ratings.

Got an email from Social Security this morning. Apparently they are rethinking their previous decision to adopt a secondary security step requiring a text message to your mobile phone. I could have told them that asking everyone for their mobile phone numbers was a bad idea, and that many seniors don’t have mobile phones, or don’t use text messaging. The email today said:

On July 30, 2016, we began requiring you to sign into your my Social Security account using a one-time code sent via text message. We implemented this new layer of security, known as “multifactor authentication,” in compliance with a Presidential executive order to improve the security of consumer financial transactions. SSA implemented the improvements aggressively because we have a fundamental responsibility to protect the public’s personal information.

However, multifactor authentication inconvenienced or restricted access to some of our account holders. We’re listening to your concerns and are responding by temporarily rolling back this mandate.

As before July 30, you can now access your secure account using only your username and password. We highly recommend the extra security text message option, but it is not required. We’re developing an alternative authentication option, besides text messaging, that we’ll begin implementing within the next six months.

We strive to balance security and customer service options, and we want to ensure that our online services are both easy to use and secure. The my Social Security service has always featured a robust verification and authentication process, and it remains safe and secure.

We regret any inconvenience you may have experienced.

There is no requirement that you access your personal my Social Security account as a result of the steps we are taking. However, when you do access your account, we encourage you to sign up for the extra security text message option. You can access your account by visiting http://www.socialsecurity.gov/myaccount.

Why don’t they just do it like my bank does? They email me a code number that is only valid for about three minutes, so I can verify my account. Authtication Code.

I don’t know why they even bother, the SSN was never designed to be an individual identifier but has become so, and damn near anyone who wants has access to them
We used to use to use two commercial credit reporting/skip tracing accounts, all available to any person with a checkbook. They gave us your name, SSN, addresses for the last few years, your family members (and their addresses, SSNs, etc), everything we’d need were we to completely compromise your existence.
All considered the loss of your cell number to the Feds, who undoubtedly already have it in their metadata, is minuscule.

Look Who’s Getting That Bank Settlement Cash
Tens of millions of dollars disguised as ‘consumer relief’ are going to liberal political groups.

    http://www.wsj.com/articles/look-whos-getting-that-bank-settlement-cash-1472421204

Combined, the banks must divert well over $11 billion into “consumer relief,” which is supposed to benefit homeowners harmed during the Great Recession. Yet it is unknown how much, if any, of the banks’ settlement money will find its way to individual homeowners. Instead, a substantial portion is allocated to private, nonprofit organizations drawn from a federally approved list. Some groups on the list—Catholic Charities, for instance—are relatively nonpolitical. Others—La Raza, the National Urban League, the National Community Reinvestment Coalition and more—are anything but.

This is a handout to the administration’s allies. Many of these groups engage in voter registration, community organizing and lobbying on liberal policy priorities at every level of government. They also provide grants to other liberal groups not eligible for payouts under the settlements. Thanks to the Obama administration, and the fungibility of money, the settlements’ beneficiaries can now devote hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars to these activities.

Catholic Charities, as we know, is one of the groups who receives millions from the Fed to house and rehome illegal aliens.

FTA: Today, through a continual whirlwind of policy statements and lobbying, and by fostering countless activist community organizations, Catholic Charities has become, as Richard John Neuhaus, a priest and editor of the esteemed religious journal First Things, puts it, “a chief apologist for a catastrophically destructive welfare system, and it stands in the way of developing alternatives to help people break out of dependency and take charge of their lives.”

In my book that is not relatively non political. Liberal Catholics are apostate idiots who worship a state god. They think throwing money from a distance is the practice of charity.

I was recently at a meeting of catholics. I will not identify the entity but it was the heads of several groups. The group as a whole was deciding about what issue they should make their current cause. Sort of an “entry cause” as a group to introduce itself to the churches.

Sorry if that is unclear I just don’t feel comfortable naming the group.

          Anyhow.

Several of them had apparently already talked including the president and they thought that we should encourage parishioners to contact their local alderman and representative because there is a new law coming on the books that states predators/sexual offenders will have to live over 2500 feet from schools or parks rather than the current 1500 feet.

I rarely get mad enough that my voice shakes but I was ready to walk out the door. I said how dare they decide that they were going to force their pious brand of Christian Charity on defenseless people. How dare these people, people who will never live within 2500 ft of a rental home or apartment building choose to put other people’s children at risk of being raped so that they can claim some warped allegiance with freeing prisoners and the love of all humanity.

I said a lot more. It was a very tense meeting and the idea was squashed by a large vote, next meeting we are trying again I am going to suggest that we start an out reach program for victims of sexual abuse.

Obama gives Laos millions to deal with unexploded US bombs from the Vietnam war. As we were there bombing North Vietnamese troops, as well as the Pathetic Lao, who were there illegally one wonders how much money Vietnam’s contributing to the efforts.
Of course the money won’t be tied to Laos accounting for the many US POWs in Laos they failed to account for…wonder if McCain helped fashion this giveaway?

Had the Laotians not allowed the NVA to use the country as a logistics, staging and R&R center we wouldn’t have dtopped those bombs. They’ve also had 30 years to use their skills to find and blow them but, as with many other things wrong with that area, they just let things be until it rolls up into a huge problematic ball.
