One of my major bouts of summer sadness is coming up – my cucumber vines will stop bearing. I’ll put more in, get a few more, but nothing is quite as good as those pbes from the hot July days. I’ll miss the various cucumber salads, their smell alone is worth the trouble of growing them.

Cucumbers out of the garden with onions, vinegar, salt and pepper as a side for Sunday dinner. Reminds me of my mother every time. I like cooked beets that way too – had some the other day (but with balsamic).

At work a few years ago someone told me how refreshing it was to put a cucumber slice in a glass of ice, and then add water. It worked!
I bet adding a muddled peppermint leaf would take it sub-zero.

They measure visits and views. If you turn off your computer or go away for a while, then come back, you will be counted as two visits. The number of different things you look at (two or three different posts) are the views.

All Electronics has a unique ID in them. If you change it in a mobile phone you can go to prison and owe hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines. You need to have software, carefully controlled by the hardware manufactures to change the ID on a computer, but I don’t believe they’ll put you in jail for it.

What I was getting at was you are voluntarily joining into a NYC communications point. Just like when you voluntarily log into a public wifi site you have no idea who is doing what with your information, who’s putting what into your dystem, no idea at all.
I’m sure that NYC provides a short, inclusive and non-legalese crystal clear user agreement agreement, wouldn’t do anything less, eh? Computer privacy companies have been reporting hi-tech state of the art tracking devices in the computers of people eho’ve innocently visited some government sites, the White House site specifically, CIA and some DoD less frequently. Might the paranoid NYC police state system have horrowed a page from the Fed agencies thrybsomclosely coordinate with, even perhaps beta test for them? Not as if NYC has a clean record.
